What are the benefits of the ATG

Amongst others, the high-level benefits of the Africa Trade Gateway (ATG) Digital Ecosystem will include:

• Reduce the foreign currency cost of conducting intra-African trade by facilitating intra-African trade payments in African national currencies.ncies;
• Reduce the high costs associated with KYC and CDD checks on African entities thereby restoring trade and project finance flows into productive sectors across the continent.
• Facilitate improved access to trade information and regulations and deepen knowledge of African and non-African entities about the trade and investment potential as well as networking opportunities in Africa.
• Improve the cost competitiveness of Africa’s exports by creating a system that harmonizes trade regulatory regimes in a continent that is highly fragmented.
• Minimize the challenges associated with flow of goods across transit corridors; and
• Enable accelerated rise of a new class of African digital entrepreneurs through the future proof ATG as a digital entrepreneurial ecosystem with participating network agents and users (customers) driving continuous supply and demand of new services utilizing ecosystem data and other augmented data, ultimately increasing digital assets, digital entrepreneurs and benefiting from the network effects.
